Don't Know, Don't Care

I don't know what to write right now but I just feel like writing something to put on my blog. My mind is just blank write now and I'm looking at a blank page with nothing to write on. I just wish that I have something to write about! I feel like writing a story but I'm afraid if it's too long. So I decided not to put one unless it's a short one. Many people say that I'm creative in making up stories and I have the mother spirit. That means that I like little children better than older children and I can take care of them better. But that's true. I do like little children better than older children. My mom and dad said that I already had the mother spirit ever since I was a baby! I would feed my dad mangoes and before he finished the piece I gave him, I would put another piece in his mouth. Then my mom would always tell me to wait and slow down. So now I know to be patient before you put another piece into someone's mouth!

But now I have nothing else to write about so I'll close this post.

When At Night I Go To Sleep, Hansel and Gretel, Humperdinck

Our first Youtube

Tonight after dinner my parents decided to videotape my sister and I singing a duet called “When at night I go to sleep” from Hansel and Gretel musical, composed by Humperdinck. I sang Hansel part and I had to look like a boy. I wore pants and dark blue jacket, and I hid my long hair inside a baseball cap so that I could look like a boy. My sister sang Gretel part and she dressed up in a pink dress.

After that, my mom put this video on Youtube. I hope you will enjoy watching it.

We actually sang this song before at a concert at Goethehaus on September 25, 2007. We both like singing so much and we are so fortunate to have such a great teacher in Jakarta.

Beautiful Sunset at Anyer Beach

This evening, we had the most beautiful sunset on the beach.

The sunset was so colorful: red, bright orange, yellow, brown, blue, and dark purple. It reminded me of God’s greatness because He made a very beautiful sunset for people to look at. We took a lot of pictures. I didn’t think we could ever see a sunset like that again.

My Holiday at Anyer - Day 2

Today I spent most of my time swimming in the pool. My dad rented us some bogey-boards and we rode on the waves. When we caught a really good wave, my mom had taken videos, but too bad she didn’t video our good one :-). But, we also used our bogey-boards as boats in the swimming pool. It was lots of fun!

After lunch, the whole family watched the movie ‘Amazing Grace’, the same one that I saw in the classroom, while my sister and I got our hairs braided. Two ladies worked together to braid my hair. It actually took them almost an hour to do this. Many times I had to remind them that it hurt when they pulled my hair too tightly.

After the movie, my sister, my dad and I went swimming. We asked my dad to try to walk across the coconut tree trunk and he always failed because when he was in the middle, the coconut tree trunk will shake a lot so he would fall. My dad wouldn’t have made it across if my sister and I didn’t hold on the coconut tree trunk so that it wouldn’t shake as much.

My Holiday at Anyer

Today we have just arrived at the beach in Anyer! We’re staying at a place called ‘The Banten’. They have beach, pool, restaurant and about 10 cottages. My family are the only guests here; so it seems like a private beach and pool to us. When my dad and I stood at the beach, the view was beautiful.

I got my sister out and we played a game with the ocean. Then we put on our swimming suits and went swimming. Near the edge of the swimming pool, there was a coconut tree trunk that was put on top of the pool for people to practice balancing while going across the pool on it. The good part was that if you fall over either side, you will fall into pool. I tried to balance on it, but I fell a couple of times. But soon I was able to go across the swimming pool really fast from one end to the other end. I really loved the pool. I played there until sunset. After that, I changed my clothes, and then my family and I walked across the beach ‘til the other end. We made it back in time for dinner.

We ate at a restaurant called ‘Makassar’. The food was soooooooooooooo yummy! I had nasi-goreng ikan asin. Then we went back to the hotel and I went to bed rightaway.

Sucess!

You know when I told you about the movie, well, our movie was a sucess! Ours was even better than the other group's because theirs got mixed up with the behind the scenes and Mr. Henry said that in our movie, the media was really powerful. We were so happy! And soon, Mr. Henry will give us the score which we will insert into our portfolio. I'm really proud of my group because we worked really hard and we had cooperation.
