Coming up soon is the speech competition. I am really excited and I'm sure that my classmates are too. In the speech competition, everyone is going to say the Getty's Burg Adress written by Abraham Lincoln. Everyone in my class has to memorize the whole text and say it on the 28th of September so it's comming up soon! I have memorized most of it and only have a little more to go. I don't expect to win because there are a lot of students in my class that are better than me. I hope that I can do a good job eventhough I don't win.

Movie!
In class, we are making a movie. Since our class is to big, we split into 2 groups. My group is almost done. We just need to make the first scene which is at Zerlinda's house. Our title is "Kinapped!". In the movie, the president's daughter gets kidnapped and the president tells the media to say that his daughter is safe so that everyone won't know about the situation. But at the end, the president gets his daughter back and the kidnappers go to jail.
Now you know about the story, you must know the cast!
- Zerlinda: The president's daughter
- Jaqueline: A tv reporter
- Regina: A tv reporter
- Yuu: the president's bodyguard
- Dedi: the president's daughter's bodyguard
- Melanie: The radio speaker
- Randy: The president
- Ledwin: The kidnapper
- Kurnia: The kidnapper
- Me!-Nicole: The radio speaker

UOI
In UOI, we planned about our advertisements that we are going to record. Our advertisement will be about an animal shop that has new animal products and they want to advertise it so that people can buy it. We don't just advertise it buy a commercial but also by printing. It's up to us. We can make a advertisement on the newspaper, in a magazine, etc. I hope that our project can go successfully.

Religion
For Religion, we had to write a prayer for our country. Here's what I wrote as a prayer:
Dear God,
Please bless Indonesia and America. I really love them both. Indonesia has a lot of beautiful nature and cultures, and the people of Indonesia are kind and warm and the family value is really good. America has become so advanced in many countries of the world like to follow America. America also has so many knowledge and resources that can benefit the world. Please help both of these countries will have so many people that will fear you and so that they can be a blessing for others. Thank you for both of these countries that I can love. Thank you for the great people that I meet in them. Thank you Lord.
And I give all these thanks,
In Jesus' name,
Amen

Math
Today in math we made our own 3D shapes. First we had to make our own tower. We could only use one piece of paper, 8 paper clips and one pair of scissors for a tool. Then we went to the soccerfield and made our own tower using our body. We could not use any thing else. That was really hard and the tower must stand for one minute which made it harder but we suceeded.

English
Today in English, we learned how to write a paragraph. You just have to follow the traffic light in this order, yellow, green and red. Yellow stands for your topic sentence. Your topic sentence can be in the beginning, middle or end. A topic sentence is a sentence that is not specific but it's what your paragraph is all about. Green stands for the supporting details. Those details, as you might know are all connected to your topic sentence. So don't write about the hot desert then suddenly you write you like swimming. And last but not least, Red stands for the ending sentence. The ending sentence will close the paragraph. Once your done, you can write your own poem!

Being in Grade Six
Being in Grade 6 has been a hard, fun and challenging time. I am really looking forward to our class trip to Australia. We will go there because our teacher, Mr. Henry wants us to learn about different cultures out of Indonesia, where I live. I'm also looking forward to the Grade Six Exhibition. I hope I can do well and have lots of fun. Grade 6 is really fun.
In Math we made and decorated a cone and a cylinder to learn how to calculate the volume of these 3D shapes.
In English, we learned how to write a paragraph.
In UOI (Unites Of Inquiry), we are starting a new topic called Persuasion. Our last UOI topic was Human Rights and Social Justice. We had to write a report about any country in Asia. My country was Burma and my best friend, Zerlinda was Singapore. We both got an award for writing the report. I don't know why Mr. Henry gave it to us and not the others. Zerlinda suggested that maybe ours were the best. I wonder if that's true.......
Anyways, in Science, we are learning about mass and density. I'm still confused about what density is.
In computer, we are learning about how to make our own website. We will make our own website and it will be connected to our school's website. Today, we just started our planning. Next week we will start to make our website. I'm sooooooooooooo excited!
I hope that grade six will be a blast!
